Batik Wahyu Bronto
The name of this motif is taken from the name of a honey-sucking beetle, which symbolizes something sweet. According to the Javanese-Indonesian dictionary, the word bronto is interpreted as falling in love and lust, so that the general public defines Honey Bronto as “sweet love”. Some interpret it, honey means sweet, while bronto means fighting. When combined it means fighting in sweetness. Honey Bronto used to be a man who wants to date or come to his girlfriend’s place. So when the woman’s parents see her clothes, they immediately know the purpose of the man’s arrival. This motif is also often worn in a traditonal enggament ceremony.
